Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 2026

1. Service provider

These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by stepien.store, Franciszkańska 30, 91-441 Łódź, Poland, email contact@stepien.store, phone +48 791 217 076 ("we", "us"). They are issued in accordance with the Polish Act of 18 July 2002 on Providing Services by Electronic Means and apply to clients in the European Union and the United Kingdom.

2. Services

We provide website development, web application development and UI/UX design services. The scope, timeline, deliverables and price of each project are set out in an individual offer or order confirmed by both parties in writing (email is sufficient).

3. Conclusion of the contract

A contract is concluded when you accept our offer in writing or pay the first invoice. Before concluding the contract you will receive the full price in EUR, the scope of work and these Terms on a durable medium.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are stated in euro (EUR). Unless agreed otherwise, 50% of the price is payable before work begins and the remaining balance before final delivery or launch. Invoices are payable within 7 days by bank transfer or another method we indicate.

5. Client obligations

You agree to provide content, feedback and access needed for the project in good time. Delays caused by missing materials may extend the timeline. You confirm you hold the rights to any materials you supply.

6. Intellectual property

After full payment, the copyright to final deliverables created specifically for you is transferred to you within the scope necessary for their intended use. Third-party components (open-source libraries, fonts, stock images) remain subject to their own licences. We may show completed work in our portfolio unless you object in writing.

7. Acceptance and warranty

You have 7 days after delivery to report defects. We fix defects that do not meet the agreed specification free of charge. Consumers retain all statutory rights regarding conformity of digital content and services under the Polish Civil Code, EU Directive 2019/770 and, for UK consumers, the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability towards business clients is limited to the price paid for the project concerned, and we are not liable for lost profits or indirect damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability towards consumers that cannot be limited by law.

9. Complaints

Complaints can be sent to contact@stepien.store or by post to Franciszkańska 30, 91-441 Łódź, Poland. We respond within 14 days. Consumers may also use out-of-court dispute resolution, e.g. the municipal consumer ombudsman in Poland or, in the UK, an approved ADR provider.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Polish law. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the consumer's country of residence (including the UK) remain unaffected. Disputes with business clients are resolved by the court competent for our registered address.
